Seeking Nominations for the 2013-14 MORA Board of Directors
Have you been thinking it’s time to get serious about the environment, improving the economy, and expanding your social networks?
This is a great opportunity to apply your skills and interests to an organization that:
MORA has a need for people with grant writing, fundraising, public education, creative and organizational skills. Nominees from the private sector and from geographical areas beyond the eastern and central parts of the state would increase board diversity, but anyone with a passion for recycling are encouraged to submit a nomination. Board members will be chosen from the roster of candidates by the MORA membership at our annual conference, September 16-18, in Jefferson City. Elected board members serve two-year terms. Board ResponsibilitiesAs a MORA Board member, you are expected to attend monthly half-day meetings in mid-Missouri and participate in committee work of your choosing. Meetings are informative and stimulating; we stick to Roberts Rules to keep moving, but we also have fun! We are a board, but we are never bored. This is a chance to work behind the scenes in MORA and to find out how the wizardry works.
If you are interested or know a person who is interested please fill out the form to the right. |
