Zero Waste USA Intro to Zero Waste Class (6 hours) - How your community could move toward Zero Waste. Where to find the resources needed to further your own knowledge and practice of Zero Waste. This class is taught in a lively, interactive manner. The content is easy to retain and supported by Zero Waste USA’s on-line resources. It is valuable for municipal staff, decision makers, haulers, recyclers, composters, reuse organizations, advocates and all interested in Zero Waste. Certificates of Completion are awarded to students that attend the entire class, pass the in-class exam and complete the course evaluation. Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) – Best Management Practices

This workshop is designed for HHW workers and will cover the basic information needed to strengthen your knowledge as you work with HHW materials, whether assisting in one-day collection events, or handling materials at a permanent or semi-permanent facility. Attendees will learn best management practices from industry professionals, learn how to determine if a solid waste is a hazardous waste,review some of the rules and regulations and most importantly learn where to find additional resources & training opportunities.
